The story in brief
The Jacksonville Young Republicans unanimously endorsed Wyman Duggan for mayor, citing affordability, Florida Politics reports. The House speaker pro tempore recently entered the race against Democratic incumbent Donna Deegan and four other Republicans. Duggan says he would restrain taxes, fees and utility costs, while his campaign criticizes spending under Deegan. His political committee also received $100,000 from the Republican Party of Florida, adding financial support to the new endorsement.
