Rick Scott campaigns with Byron Donalds as polls show different views of Florida governor’s race

The story in brief

Florida Phoenix reports that U.S. Sen. Rick Scott urged voters to return ballots early while appearing with Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds in Largo. A St. Pete Polls survey put Donalds and Democrat David Jolly nearly even among likely voters, while a separate NBC6/Telemundo poll showed Donalds ahead among registered voters. The story also details Donalds’ appeal to Black voters and former U.S. Rep. Al Lawson’s endorsement of Jolly and criticism of Donalds’ record.
