Tallahassee vigil focuses on healing after shootings leave six hospitalized

Faith leaders and residents gathered in Tallahassee for a vigil after a series of shootings, including a Perry Street attack that wounded 11 people. Jacksonville committee seeks testimony tied to JTA’s $40 million deficit

Jacksonville’s Financial Audit and Oversight Committee heard from two former transportation authority finance chiefs as it investigates how JTA accumulated a $40 million deficit. Former CFO Raj Srinath, who served from 2023 to 2025 during the period central to the decline, did not attend. Councilman Chris Miller said the committee may subpoena Srinath but will first give him time to testify voluntarily. Members want his account before questioning former CEO Nat Ford, expected in January.
